NGF: Amaechi & politicians’ desperation
 By Odimegwu Onwumere

Politicians live a life of noisy desperation. It is all about how to outsmart, outwit and oust any contrary opposition. Sometimes, what they term as opposition is not opposition in the real sense of the word. They mistake critics or divergent opinions for opposition.

Shabby treatment of Nigerians by the Nigerian High commission, Ottawa, Canada
By Christopher Iyogun

Foreign Affairs Minister Ashiru
It is not strange to be treated poorly and unprofessionally by most Nigerian Civil Servants in Nigeria who only respond when tipped. It is also not out of the ordinary to be asked for bribe to get something done in Nigeria by public workers who suddenly become efficient once money has changed hands.

Only rented crowds are against Kalu
 By Odimegwu Onwumere

Ask any right thinking person from Umuahia, the hometown of Governor T.A Orji of Abia State, whom he or she preferred between Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu, the former governor of the state and T.A Orji, that person will vehemently shout, “Orji Uzor Kalu Is Our Man”. This is to tell you how popular, admired and loved that Kalu is in and out of Abia State. You may go to the North or West and ask the same question; the answer is not different.

Nigeria governors forum & plot to remove Amaechi
 By Odimegwu Onwumere

Dr. Dennis O'Grady tells us in "Bottom Line - Personal" that change has a bad reputation in our society. But it isn't all bad — not by any means. In fact, change is necessary in life — to keep us moving... to keep us growing... to keep us interested.... Imagine life without change. It would be static... boring... dull.

Nigeria: A Clime of the incongruous
 By Nwaorgu Faustinus

Call me whatever you like after reading this piece. Since the advent of the 4th republic on May 29, 1999, I have continued to watch developments, trends, situations, actions, inactions and events with particular reference on how the affairs of the Geo-political entity called Nigeria is being piloted by our rulers, politicians, government institution among others and have arrived at a conclusion that Nigeria is regrettably, unfortunately and pitiably a clime where absurdity dwell.

As President Goodluck Jonathan resigns
Fellow Nigerians... Surrender is not defeat. I do not know how to start this, but I have started it and indeed starting is what matters. There's always a first time and this is the first time, it is not just going to be the first time in Nigeria, but Africa.

Love the article on Gaddafi
We must rise above tribalism & divide & rule of the colonialist who stole & looted our treasure & planted their puppets to lord it over us..they alone can decide on whosoever is performing & the one that is corrupt..but the most corrupt nations are the western countries that plunder the resources of other nations & make them poorer & aid the rulers to steal & keep such ill gotten wealth in their country..yemen,syria etc have killed more than gadhafi but its not A̷̷̴ good investment for the west(this is laughable)because oil is not in these countries..when obasanjo annihilated the odi people in rivers state, they looked away because its in their favour & interest..one day! Hello from
Johannesburg
I was amazed to find a website for Africans in Hungary.
Looks like you have quite a community there. Here in SA we have some three million Zimbabweans living in exile and not much sign of going home ... but in Hungary??? Hope to meet you on one of my trips to Europe; was in Steirmark Austria near the Hungarian border earlier this month. Every good wish for 2011. Geoff in Jo'burg

I'm impressed by
ANH work but...
Interesting interview...
I think from what have been said, the Nigerian embassy here seem to be more concern about its nationals than we are for ourselves. Our complete disregard for the laws of Hungary isn't going to help Nigeria's image or going to promote what the Embassy is trying to showcase. So if the journalists could zoom-in more focus on Nigerians living, working and studying here in Hungary than scrutinizing the embassy and its every move, i think it would be of tremendous help to the embassy serving its nationals better and create more awareness about where we live . Taking the issues of illicit drugs and forged documents as typical examples.. there are so many cases of Nigerians been involved. But i am yet to read of it in e.news. So i think if only you and your journalists could write more about it and follow up on the stories i think it will make our nationals more aware of what to expect. I wouldn't say i am not impressed with your work but you need to be more of a two way street rather than a one way street . Keep up the good work... Sylvia
